pith Pomelo Notebook (130gsm, 260x210mm, Dot Grid, Raw Colour)

You might have noticed from my posts that I use this notebook a lot for sketching and drawing, as it’s one of my favourites. The large square format feels a bit different from most notebooks and gives plenty of space to work. The paper quality also feels really nice without being overly heavy.

The pages are a pale ivory colour and slightly thick (130gsm), so they handle pens and light ink well. The dot grid is much fainter than what I usually find in other dotted notebooks, which I personally prefer as it doesn’t distract from drawings or notes, and it doesn’t show through too much on the page.

Where I Buy My Art Supplies

Jackson’s Art Supplies

I’ve tried a few art supply stores over the years, but Jackson’s is the one I use most often. Because they’re the kind of store that actually feels like it was built for artists by artists. The selection is great, the quality is solid, and they carry both well-known brands and some hidden gems I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.

Most of the paints, brushes, and papers I use in my own work come from Jackson’s — including a lot of their own-brand stuff, which has really surprised me in a good way. I have shown close-up images of their supplies throughout my blog posts.
